:: Pima County Recorders Office deploys Next Generation Thin Client/Virtualization/SAN evironment
Thin Client Computing and the Pima County Recorder's Office have completed the deployment of an advanced system design which will revolutionize the way election cycles and day to day Recorder operations are processed. At each election cycle the organization is required to ramp up with a large number of temporary PC workers to support the manpower requirements of local and national elections. Citrix Presentation Server Platinum, Xen Server Enterprise, Access Gateway, IGEL Thin Clients and a XIOTECH SAN were integrated into a complete virtualization environment that allows near instaneous scalability for manpower spikes and dramatically reduced managment requirments for day to day operations. Hardware servers boot from the SAN eliminating local hard drives and support both physical Presentation Servers and a range of virtual servers running on XEN Server. Desktops are replaced with diskless thin clients enabling instananeous provisioning of new workstations with a true "out of the box" experience. BioPassword is used as a second factor authentication method requiring no hardware to be carried by end users. The end result is a powerful system that is easy to maintain and scale- as new desktop and server roles are required they can be provisioned centrally through easy to use virtualization, application and thin client managment tools. Secure remote access is granted through the Citrix Access Gateway and Web Interfaced integrated with BioPassword.

:: Caremark adopts Next Generation Virtualization
Thin Client Computing worked closely with Caremark to evaluate and adopt an advanced operating system virtualization platform called Virtuozzo by SWSoft. Virtuozzo virtualizes the operation system instead of the hardware layer and as a result requires far less overhead in disk, cpu and ram utilization than hardware virtualization solutions. The integrated nature of the guest and host OS allows for simple point and click deployment of new servers and applications. As a result of sharing the host OS core, licensing costs per guest machine are significantly reduced. As a result, Caremark can host complete test, dev, QA and production environments on a dramatically lower number of physical servers with far lower software costs and better management capabilities.
:: Cox Communications selected to present at the 2006 Citrix iForum Worldwide User Conference
Thin Client Computing worked closely with COX Communications to create "CoxCONNECT"- the most advanced multi-data center, application delivery solution available. Utlizing the latest advances in global server load balancing, secure session access, endpoint scanning, server based computing and virtual desktop delivery, call center agents are fully able to work from home using personal equipment with complete security, full application access and high performance.
